The Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers is a City of London Livery Company. The main aims of the Livery are to foster scientific instrument making and related engineering in the UK and to encourage young people to follow the trades by offering scholarships, prizes, sponsorship and apprenticeships. The company is chair of the Instrumentation Industry Liaison Group under the auspices of the Dept of Business.
We have close links with several London schools and with universities throughout the country where appropriate degree courses are offered.
We support the Arkwright Scholarship Scheme and the Young Engineers program.
