University of Sheffield, Social and Spatial Inequalities Research Group
The Social and Spatial Inequalities Research Group is based at the Department of Geography, University of Sheffield. We conduct interdisciplinary research which contributes to an evidence base for policy development aimed at reducing social inequalities. Cartography plays an important role in our work, in which we use mapping techniques to make social disparities visible and better comprehensible. The Worldmapper Project (http://www.worldmapper.org/) is part of this work to gain a new understanding of our world.
