Essex is consistently ranked in the UK’s top ten universities for research quality and was 20th amongst English mainstream universities in the National Student Survey for 2011. More than a quarter of Essex’s 11,000 students are postgraduates, and over 130 countries are represented within the student body making Essex one of the UK’s most internationally-diverse universities.
