Newcastle University offers two degrees that will appeal to people interested in mapping, GPS, GIS and Google Earth. The degree courses are:
• BSc Hons Surveying and Mapping Science
• BSc Hons Geographic Information Science
Both courses have high levels of practical and field work, excellent employment prospects and, in the 2011 National Student Survey, the courses were given a satisfaction score of 100%.
The degrees are professionally accredited by both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
